Preston's Newborn Session | Family Session

AHP

Welcome to the world, Preston! I had so much fun hanging out with the Cleary family as they celebrated baby #2.

What are newborn sessions like? Newborn sessions are great, because I love to keep things relaxed, not rushed, and as comfortable/chill as a possible. Don’t worry if your little one needs a feeding, a changing, or even time to just be held — those are all the REAL moments of having a new baby. I just come with my camera to hang out and enjoy your family in your normal setting — nothing fancy or forced. Preston did amazing and loved being cuddled by his parents and big brother.

What do I need to prepare for a newborn session? Honestly, not much! I usually recommend picking out a few outfits and swaddles to have a variety of options. If you also have a neutral blanket or quilt, those are perfect for photos of just the baby on a bed or in a bassinet. Other than that, designating a room for the photos (usually the nursery or a bedroom) with natural light is key. If you ever have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask!

Thanks again for having me!
